Late in 2009 Rich (Quiet on the Western Front) met Evan (Save Ferris, Cozette) while setting up some drum lessons. After collaborating on a few experimental tracks they decided to book some time with a friend @ CMS Studios and started recording what would be their first EP "Sea of Trees." While in studio they brought on Jim Pederson (Robots and Empires) & Dan Kirkpatrick (Robots and Empires). While preparing songs for some local live shows Glenn Harwell (Quiet on the Western Front) was added completing the current line up they have today. Recently in 2012, they added Kalen Blackburn (Artistic Visionary) to head all art direction. His perspective has brought so much of the world Lions In Iron is trying to create,.. to life. 

      They have been writing and experimenting with many sounds and subjects over the past few years. After writing about 30 songs they decided to put all except for one in the vault and move forward with a fresh new direction. This sound is expressed on our current single "Seventeen." We hope you enjoy it and continue all the support that you've given us!

      Whether you classify Lions in Iron as lounge, 60's surf rock or whatever...They make music based on what we're experiencing at that point in life and however they feel the need to express it audibly...they do.
